About the brand: The story behind Smogg.
We were just two girls, students in a university, at the beginning of our adult life and friendship, with an interest in fashion. In a conversation about future careers, sewing activities and design drawing from childhood emerged. Thus, we found another common interest. It looked like an impossible dream.
Then, life got in the way and sent us to different countries, where we had a really hard time, but we were still thinking about our idea. In the end, we decided if we are going to have a difficult life, so be it.
So we took the necessary steps, learnt what we had to and registered our business.
It wasn’t easy; It took months, even years, to get things right.
But finally we got there, we launched our independent brand and sold our first piece!
Now our mission is to battle the quality fade, to bring back the access to the good quality at the lower price ranges, lost decades ago, that is today reserved only to the luxury brands, and to offer high quality wearable, affordable fashion. Quality costs but not that much.
We are female-owned, ethically made, high quality, limited edition, slow fashion brand for girls and women; for real people from real life who walk the streets.
"A fashion that does not reach the streets, is not fashion." - Coco Chanel

We create everyday luxury pieces of excellent quality fabrics and cut, low on polymers and synthetic fibers, you can incorporate in any style.
We find inspiration in ’70s fashion, ’80s fashion, ’90s fashion and 2000s fashion, influenced by the good music of these times.
We came up with the name more intuitively. We were trying to think about something edgy but serious, rough but elegant, bold but tamed and beautiful, and to reflect that contrast, we somehow ended up with this one word. We added an extra "g", and it just stuck. This is how we called it "Smogg".
We work with factories to make our products, but the rest we do ourselves, with a little help of family and friends. And we're so happy to have you here.
